Set 5 FAQ

Blue Kentaurus
"Numbing Frost - Whenever Blue Kentaurus would take 60 or more damage all at once, that turn ends."

Q. When Blue Kentaurus is going to be hurt by that much, do I stop the turn and Blue Kentaurus remains undamaged or does the turn end after it is damaged?

A. Because Blue Kentaurus says “Whenever Blue Kentaurus would take…” the turn ends before the damage is dealt. If the card said, “When Blue Kentaurus takes…” then he would take the damage before the turn ends.

Flower Fish
"Warrior Proof - Warrior cards don't damage Flower Fish."

Q. Does Warrior Proof apply to things like Sherman's BASH?

A. The type of card is determined by its color, so Flower Fish would not be damaged by Warrior characters. Remember that it could still be destroyed by a Warrior ability that does not deal damage.

Greater Spell Booster
"Stir the Cauldron - Look at the top card of your deck. You may put it on the bottom of your deck."

Q. For clarifying purposes, if you do not place the card on the bottom of your deck, do you place it back on the top?

A. Yes.

Jobless

Q. What color is Jobless?

A. Jobless has no color associated with it. It is colorless. Jobless only cares about what level your character is, not the color of the cards used to level up. This means that you can indeed play a jobless card even if you have not leveled up with a jobless card.

Trapped Chest
"When you play Trapped Chest, name a card. Your opponent can't play cards with that name."

Q. Does this action last until the end of the turn or until the card is destroyed?

A. Since Trapped Chest is an item, it stays in play. This means your opponent cannot play the named card until Trapped Chest leaves play.

Upgrade Cards

Q. Do you play the card as a stand alone monster or must it be attached to card?

A. Upgrade cards must be played on top of the type of creature it is an upgrade for.

Q. When you attach an upgrade card to a card, does it have only its stats or do you add the stats of the two cards together?

A. Upgrade cards replace all of the stats and abilities of the card it is played on, they are not added together in any way.

Q. When an upgrade card is attached to a card, can the "small" card be destroyed, but the upgrade card still remain or if one card is destroyed are they both destroyed?

A. No. The original card is no longer in play, it has been upgraded to the new card. The original card and the upgrade card are considered one card for game purposes, however, so if the upgrade is destroyed both cards are placed in the discard pile. Other effects, such as returning the upgrade creature to your hand, also affect the original creature.
